I suck at names.... ;)

This is really the first digital painting that I've finished and actually somewhat liked. So far I haven't been able to make it this far, so this is kinda a milestone moment for me. Me and digital art, who knew? I actually am growing to like it a lot. I thought this day would never come.

But that being said, critiques are so welcome! I am still a baby artist, especially with anything digital, and would love any suggestions.

Done with Photoshop and Wacom Bamboo tablet.

nicely done. however, the hair could use a bit more highlights in it to show more stringiness and definition.  and while i like the background it could use a bit more definition. not to much mind you. just enough so you can kind of make out leaves and such. if the background is a forested area...... or if it is raining add a few rain drops in the background. the shadows in his neck are a bit too deep. (aka Dark) they almost make his neck look bony.  add a bit more color there. and lighten it up a bit. it is a very intense contrast  with how light the rest of the picture is.  the bags under his eyes could be a bit more defined (again using lots of the word definition.) add a bit more white to the whites of his eyes to make them "pop" out more.
His nose is very well done. as are the shape and depth of his lips. you put a good expression on his face. and the fabric folds are beautiful. I also think his hand is well done. drawing hands and noses are tricky. faces are hard in general.
Sorry, being a bit nit picky here........ but when it's like that it means that it's really good. these are more technical artsy tips, i understand that digital art is completely different from drawing by hand.

(Sorry if i am being a bit harsh......and i don't mean to sound bossy. these are tips that i have found help me in my art. though i have yet to go into color, the shading is not too different. again i don't want to be hurtful or unkind. so if i offend you please let me know..........)
